Update 2: First Week of School

This is my room! Exciting!

Bright and early a bus comes by my apartment complex to pick a few of us up for the 40-ish minute drive to work. It's quite comfortable and give one a chance to do some work before arriving (or more often snoozing to some podcasts).

The nice courtyard that serves as the entrance to the school. It's got some nice water features and picnic tables that you can eat lunch at.

One view of my classroom. The tables are have a whiteboard surface which means that students (and teachers) can write on them during class. It's surprisingly handy. The screen on the wall is a touchscreen montior that's quite large. In addition, I can Airplay straight to the screen or send a screen from my laptop wirelessly through a little dongle. All of the tables and chairs are on wheels which makes it easy to rearrange the room if needed. There are also several electrical outlets on the ground which allow you to plug in power strips which are attached to each table so power can be had anywhere.

The other view of my room. The whiteboards slide behind each other and hide a ton of storage. it will take me quite some to go through everything!

Every day the cafeteria posts the different meals for the day. There are several options, both Western and Asian. In addition, there's a cafe in the lobby that has treats on offer throughout the day if you're getting a little hungry!

The school has a nice theatre.

Nice athletic facilities. One thing that I'll have to get used to is that the goalposts are narrower than normal (they are for rugby, not football...)

At the end of the day, the busses are lined up to take me home.

First meal I cooked for myself. Thank goodness for grocery delivery (perks of living in a city for the first time!)
